This is a wonderful surprise and I cannot wait to read it through! That cover art really is one of my favorite pieces of your art ever, the hair exiting the border bounds is awesome and the armor and sword have such rich weight to them.
Based on the POD timelines I should get it sometime in the middle of September I would imagine. Can't wait. Congratulations on publishing another book James, you continue to be a huge inspiration to me!
Thanks! That's super kind of you and I appreciate it. Really helps keep me motivated to know someone out there gets some joy from what I do (other than me myself and I).
Ah! Thanks for pointing this out. I was very unclear about that. The idea was you could cast it, then your missile just hovers for 1 turn until you use it. But I didn't articulate that at all in the text. I probably meant to change it to "instant" or something, but failed to do so.
You can just assume instant or you can use the "hovers for 1 turn" read, which is what I prefer. I do it that way and let the wizard instantly fire it off, regardless of initiative. A "readied" action, so to speak.
Hallelujah!

Looks great! I have a question though, is the duration of Magic Missile really 1 turn? And if so, how.does that work?
