Rock Hardy Book of Dwarfs art

I'm writing a dwarf thing called Rock Hardy Book of Dwarfs (posted about it here too). Here's the cover art, I think.

The book is going to be a little setting with lots of dwarf character options and random tables. It's basically a book length treatment of the dwarf stuff from Black Pudding #4.

  1. Moisture damaged a lot of my books. The Black Pudding collection went unscathed. Yay!

    1. Bah. No problem. My Red and Blue Box books got warped though. Still readable, but there's some pain there. The Isle of Dread that came with the Bluebox/Expert is still fine though. My Heroes Unlimited and Warhammer 1st is still good.

Dude, the real loss, is my 70+ piece Conan collection. Complete works of E. Howard, plus dozens of Savage Sword and the follow up novels. Like the Robert Jordan hardback, with his Conan novels. My Dozen or so Heavy Metal mags are a loss.

Meh. It's all replaceable. But goddamn. Lame.

  2. Oh Hell Yeah, I use a ton of your Dwarf stuff in my Wine Cellars campaign and this would be a great addition to that!! Looking forward to it!

    1. Glad to hear it! It's gonna a be a tightrope walk between generalized useful PC stuff and specific setting stuff. Going for a feel.

    2. Cool. Even the super specific setting stuff is good for me, as I go full gonzo in my campaign worlds. Meaning, basically, that everything can be found. Dragons and demons, queen aliens and Freddy Kruger, dwarves of all different color and stripe, etc...

  3. I love that image. I see a monster and a guy with a lantern so my mind says they are adventurers in a dungeon. But they ran across a keg and dwarves will be dwarves...

    1. Ah, but see they're not just accidentally coming across some beer. They are possibly raiders stealing it or they are the very brewers of Fester's Froth, a beer that must be kept in dank caverns until it is ready for distribution. Of course trolls also live in dank caverns.

  4. Apologies for the post necromancy, but I had to profess my love for the dwarf in the bottom right of the picture with his pinky sticking up in the air. Trés classy!
