Got mine. It's so luxe for something celebrating the ugly! Two questions though:
1. I get that "Real" Damage bypasses defense but... what if anything does "Real" Damage? 2. I _think_ when PCs are attacked, the GM doesn't roll dice, the player rolls Prowess to not get hit but then... Damage? Do you do "AC - roll + damage dice" for hits (inverting the formula for PC attacks?) -- for something like the Tyrant Lizard I guess it would "Crit" if the PC fumbles?
There are a couple of spells or items that deal Real damage, such as the spell Death Touch.
Yes, you are correct about action rolls. You'd just invert the formula for enemy attacks. And a 1 would be a crit and a 20 a fumble. I didn't make that very clear at all in the game text. But a lot of this is meant to be open to interpretation and GM fiat.
I'll keep this in mind if I ever do a revision. Or I might toss it into the follow up book as part of the "General Rules" section. Thanks for the feedback!
Ooh, goody goody goody . . .
ReplyDeleteLove this! Looking forward to getting my copy in hand.
